Career: Lietuvos telekomas Vilnius, becoming TEO Vilnius (Lithuania-LMKL, 1998-2009), SK Cesis (Latvia-LSBL, 2009-10), VICI Aistes Kaunas (Lithuania-LMKL, 2010-11)
For a player of her talent level and experience, Rima Valentiene maybe didn't shoot the ball as well as she can at EuroBasket Women 2009 but you wouldn't bet against her having a bigger impact two years later. At the age of 33, she may be in the twilight of her career with the National Team, but she was still handed around 30 minutes per game by Coach Paulauskas last summer during the Qualifying Round, emphasizing her importance to the team. An experienced playmaker on offence, Valentiene is also a solid defensive player who can disrupt the offensive rhythm of her opponents to great effect and that attribute could be vital component for Lithuania. Valentiene has played in EuroLeague Women for a number of seasons including playing at the Final Four.
