Artur Drozdov is Ukraine's most versatile player, who will bring his veteran experience and leadership to Slovenia. During last season's championship run with Budivelnik, Drozdov played the most minutes on the team (almost 30) and had the second highest efficiency rating (14.8 per-game) among all the players on Mike Fratello's team, taking into account all club competitions. After falling short in the SuperLeague finals and ending up with silver medals in 2010 and 2012, Drozdov finally won the Ukrainian championship last May, helping Budivelnik in their 53 games with 10.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists-per-contest. Drozdov is a true team captain with perhaps the highest basketball IQ on the roster and while stats do not always reflect his level of productivity, the amount of work the forward does is phenomenal. Expect Artur to be Ukraine's starting forward, who now has a chance to achieve something big on international level.
