Career: Totino Grace (USA-High School, 1992-94), University of Clemson (NCAA, 1994-98), Real Madrid (Spain-ACB, 1998-2002), Adecco Estudiantes (2002-05).
Iker Iturbe might be the most reliable three-point shooter in the Spanish national team, even if he plays the forward position. A “4” in Adecco Estudiantes in the Spanish league, he shares the “3” and “4” spots when playing for coach Mario Pesquera in the national team. He is a killer from long range, with a quick release and high percentage, but needs to be open to shoot; he cannot score off the pick or off the dribble. He is a very clever player, who in spite of his height can guard most of the power forwards around and who has great sense for coming up with steals. In offense he hardly steps in the paint, but can always contribute in the high post with his shooting touch and his screens in pick and roll situations.
