An old-school Slovenian power forward, one of the team’s veterans along with Marko Milic… Grew up with Celje youth teams... Made his debut with the Celje seniors in the second division during the 1995-96 season... Signed for the 1996-97 season by Pivovarna Lasko where he played until the 2002 season. Signed for the 2002-03 season by Olimpija Ljubljana. Moved to Olympiakos, and then to Italy, to Sicc Jesi, where he posted a solid 11.4 points and 6.5 rebounds in 27 minutes. Jurak is a role player who successfully executes his coach’s tactical schemes. A strong defensive player and rebounder with limited offensive abilities. Scores most of his points on put backs and tip-ins. Will have to work hard to earn a spot for the EuroBasket, for his position is loaded with more talented players. |
