Bosnia-Herzegovina needed overtime but finally beat Portugal 71-65 in Sarajevo on Wednesday.
Playing in their first game of EuroBasket Women Division B this year, the hosts trailed 38-27 at half-time but closed the gap to 46-40 after three quarters.
They then forced the extra period after outscoring the Portuguese 20-14 in the final 10 minutes.
Dragana Svitlica 's 17 points and 10 rebounds paced Bosnia Herzegovina, while Portugal, who entered the game on a high after a comprehensive 77-61 triumph over Luxembourg, got 13 points from Sónia Reis. |
