Penny Taylor was once again instrumental for Fenerbahce, contributing 21 points

EuroLeague Women outfits Fenerbahce and Galatasaray met in the Turkish top flight over the weekend with Fener claiming a 74-68 victory.

After remaining unbeaten with a narrow win at UMMC Ekaterinburg in Europe, Fener returned to the basketball wars in Turkey and got 21 points from Penny Taylor and 18 from Diana Taurasi against Gala.

Galatasaray got 24 and 18 points, respectively, from Seimone Augustus and Sylvia Fowles.

In the Czech Republic, ZVVZ USK Prague, who thrashed Galatasaray by 28 points last week, blew out Lokomotiva Karlovy Vary, 86-60, with Delisha Milton-Jones' 19 points and Lindsay Whalen's 18 leading the way.

Prague are on top of the Czech league with Frisco Sika Brno just one point adrift.

Brno rode the hot hand of Frida Eldebrink (23 points) and claimed a 96-49 victory over Pliska Pardubice.

In Poland, Wisla Can-Pack Krakow prevailed over PTS Lider Pruszków, 70-52, and Lotos Gdynia hammered INEA AZS Poznań, 74-55.

Gorzow fell in a surprise at Energa Torun, 74-67.

Tarbes got back to winning ways in the EuroLeague Women with a four-point triumph over VICI Aistes and they followed that up with a 70-42 demolition of Nantes Reze in France.

The defending league champions, Tarbes out-rebounded Reze 36-20, got 12 second-chance points to zero for the visitors and also poured in 10 points off turnovers to just two for Laurent Buffard's team.

Tarbes got 16 points from Ana Cata-Chitiga and will be in confidence mood when hosting Galatasaray this week.

Gala won the first meeting between the sides but have been struggling of late and lost by 28 points at Prague last time out.

Bourges, who lost to Tarbes in last year's domestic finals but gained partial revenge by winning the Coupe de France, remained undefeated on the domestic scene by claiming a 64-54 win at ESB Lille Metropole.

Catherine Joens led a balanced Bourges attack with 12 points and finished one rebound shy of a double-double.

The other EuroLeague Women team in France, USO Mondeville, fell to Arras 82-69.

Spain's EuroLeague Women sides all won.

Ros Casares prevailed 102-72 over Cadi la Seu, Halcon Avenida won 80-68 at Real Celta Vigo and Rivas Ecopolis, coming off their important win over Lotos Gdynia, prevailed at Girona, 72-66.

Cras Basket Taranto brushed aside Reyer Venezia 87-61 but the other EuroLeague Women team in Italy, Beretta-Famila Schio, fell 62-57 at Faenza.

TTT Riga hammered TTT Juniores 101-37 in Lativa. Riga won their first game in the EuroLeague Women last week against USO Mondeville.

In the Russian Cup, there were wins for all three EuroLeague Women UMMC Ekaterinburg, Sparta&K MR Vidnoje and Nadezhda.
