Pecs finally gave the home fans what they wanted at this weekend’s EuroLeague Women Final Four, namely a win. It may not have been the title game, but the 5,000 fans in attendance were treated to a fantastic game of basketball and of course, a victory. |

As well as of course the final four games, they held a streetball tournament, organised a big tent next to the arena for the 3,000 spectators who could not get tickets and erected a big screen in the city centre to show the games live. |

The dream of winning their first Euroleague Women came to an abrupt end for home team MiZo Pecs today in their home gym. The Hungarian champions were soundly beaten by French side Valenciennes, who qualify for their 4th consecutive final and have the chance to overcome the disappointment of last year’s 80:82 loss to Ekaterinburg. |
