Thanks To Meneghin Legends Neither Gone Nor Forgotten

The Italian players who shocked Lithuania to reach the semi-finals of the U20 European Championship were only five or six years old when Walter Magnifico played the last time for the Azzurri in 1995.

But with the help of the legendary Dino Meneghin, Magnifico is helping the U20 players deal with the highs and lows on and off the court of playing for the Italian U20 team.

Forza Italia! Azzurri Stun Lithuania

Roberto Rullo hit a three-pointer with 10 seconds left and Andrea Marusic blocked Adas Juskevicius's shot at the buzzer as Italy came back from a 15-point deficit to shock Lithuania 69-68 and reach the semi-finals of the U20 European Championship.

The Italians, who trailed by 15 points midway through the third quarter and 14 points after three quarters, allowed just seven points to Lithuania in the final period with Daniele Sandri leading the way with 16 points.
