Niccolò Martinoni headlines the list of Italians named in coach Stefano Sacripanti's final squad for the U20 European Championship in Rhodes, Greece. The 2.02m Benetton Treviso ace had a couple of big games for the Italians as they won two of their three games at the Torneo Internazionale di Molfetta. Martinoni poured in 15 points in an 82-69 victory over Israel and followed that up with 22 in an 88-73 triumph over Russia. The Italians weren't able to ride the momentum to another win against Croatia, though, falling 77-76.
