NEWS Nando De Colo (pictured) scored 18 points and dished out seven assists to help France to ninth place at the U20 European Championship Men with a 91-82 victory over Croatia.
Aaron Cel and Fabien Causeur each added 16 points for the French, who dropped to ninth after sixth-placed showings in 2005 and 2006.

Reigning champions Serbia achieved their minimum goal of advancing to the semi-finals of the U20 European Championship Men with a comfortable 94-76 victory over Lithuania. Vladimir Stimac led the way for Serbia with 19 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks and Milos Teodosic added 10 points and 10 assists. Dragan Labovic scored 18 points and Milenko Tepic made a number of big baskets in collecting 16 points. |

Gasper Vidmar and Dejan Mlakar combined for 43 points to lead co-hosts Slovenia to a comfortable 96-84 victory over Lithuania on Tuesday to remain undefeated in Group E of the U20 European Championship Men. Vidmar's 22 points and Mlakar's 21 led five Slovenians in double figures while Jan Mocnik added 18 points and 10 assists. |
