Nadezhda Thrash Saarlouis To Reach EuroCup Women Final

Nadezhda stormed into the EuroCup Women Final on Thursday by rolling to a decisive victory over Saarlouis Royals.

After clinching a six-point victory in last week's opening leg, the Russians returned home and meted out an 81-51 beating to the Germans for a 36-point aggregate triumph.

Manakova Calf Woe For Saarlouis

Saarlouis Royals may be without their biggest offensive weapon for the second leg of their EuroCup Women Semi-Final at Nadezhda with Petra Manakova having picked up a calf injury over the weekend.

The Czech international center got hurt in the clash with Halle and according to a statement on the club's website, "doctors found a small tear in the left calf".

A Royal Finish For Mosch, Nadezhda

Nadezhda got a fourth-quarter spark from Sheana Mosch and claimed a 62-56 victory at Saarlouis Royals in the first leg of their EuroCup Women Semi-Final showdown.

With the scored knotted at 52-52 on Thursday night after a basket by the Royals' Candyce Bingham, Mosch erupted for seven straight points.

EuroCup Semi-Final Pairings Set

On Thursday night TV Saarlouis Royals beat USO Mondeville to complete the Semi-Final pairings in EuroCup Women.

The German champion, ranked 13th after the group stage take on Nedezhda Orenburg from Russia, who beat K.V. Imperial AEL in both their Quarter-Final encounters.
