NEWSAlena Hanusova had 16 points and nine rebounds to lead Czech Republic to a convincing 71-37 victory over Greece in the quarter-finals of the U20 European Championship for Women Division B to set up a semi-final showdown with neighbors Slovakia - 49-46 winners over Hungary. The other semi-final - with the winner gaining promotion next summer to Division A - will see Great Britain taking on Portugal. Great Britain beat Israel 72-65 and Portugal eased past Belgium 59-40. |

The Czech Republic remained unbeaten at the U20 European Championship Women on Wednesday after an 86-37 drubbing of Belgium. The Czechs got 20 points and six rebounds from Alena Hanusova in the victory which sets up a Quarter-Final match-up with Greece on Friday. |
