They seized a 39-3 lead by the end of the first frame and pulled away for a 83-36 victory.
Wednesday's games see Azerbaijan meet Moldova and Malta square off against Scotland in Group A, while in Group B, Wales clash with Gibraltar and F.Y.R. of Macedonia take on Austria.
