|No stopping Julius Jenkins and the EWE Baskets as they improved to 3-0 in the Last 16|
EWE Baskets underlined their dominance in Group L of the EuroChallenge Last 16 as they put up three figures in a 103-80 rout of Okapi Aalstar on the road.
Julius Jenkins scored 25 and Dru Joyce added 16 with seven assists in a dominant offensive display as they shot 40-of-72 (55.6%) from the field.
They took control of the game early, with a 14-0 run putting them 18-7 up on Jenkins' jump-shot.
When Joyce made a jump-shot to follow Robin Smeulders' three, the first period ended with the visitors leading 31-12.
Okapi enjoyed a strong second period and came all the way back to within a point, 44-43, when Hans Van Langenhove hit a three late in the half, but Jenkins responded in kind to make it a four-point game at the break.
And the rest of the way it was all EWE Baskets as they outscored the hosts 56-37 in the second half to wrap up victory.
They hit three figures with more than two minutes left in the game when Ronald Burrell dunked, but Joyce's three moments later proved to be their final basket of the night as they eased off.
Smeulders, Burrell, and Rickey Paulding scored 12 each for EWE Baskets.
Ryan Thompson led Okapi with 23 points while Thomas Dreesen had 17 and Bradley Tinsley 16.
EWE Baskets top the group at 3-0 while Okapi drop to 1-2.
