|Sead Sehovic hit two crucial three-pointers to send the game to overtime|
Szolnoki Olaj wiped out a seven-point deficit in the final two minutes of regulation and then dominated overtime to beat BCM Gravelines 75-71 in their EuroChallenge Group J opener.
It was a thrilling finish to a contest that stayed tight throughout with nine lead changes.
Gravelines were looking good for the win as they saved their largest advantage until two minutes from time, with Kennedy Winston's three-pointer making it 63-56.
But Szolnoki replied with back-to-back threes from Marton Bader and Sead Sehovic to cut the gap to one.
Yannick Bokolo's lay-up stemmed the tide for Gravelines, but Sehovic hit another three to tie it and Ludovic Vaty and Winston missed potential game winners in the final 12 seconds.
Once the game had gone to the extra period, Szolnoki turned up the head, and threes from Akos Horvath and Ernests Kalve helped them take a 75-69 lead with 31 seconds left, too much for Gravelines to handle.
Bader led the victors with 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Horvath had 16 points, Kalve 11 and Rashad Bell 10.
Vaty led Gravelines with 21 points, while Juan Edwards had 10 with seven boards.
