Telekom Baskets Bonn mounted a game-winning comeback in the final minutes to shock Elan Chalon in the EuroChallenge Last 16.

Zvonko Buljan led the way with 23 points and nine rebounds, but it Simonas Serapinas was the hero as he drilled a game-winning jumper at the death in an 91-89 Bonn victory.

The result has left both sides with 1-1 records in Group J.

Chalon appeared to be closing in on their fifth straight win in the competition.

They had an 87-82 lead just 1:24 from the end.

Buljan sank two free-throws for Telekom Baskets, though, and after Abdul Aminu was off target with a jump shot for Chalon, Jared Jordan tied the contest at 87-87 with a three-pointer.

Chalon's Nicolas Lang tried to put his team back in front but missed from behind the arc with 26 seconds to go.

Blake Schilb grabbed the offensive rebound, only to have his pass intercepted by Buljan.

Telekom Baskets then went to the other end and Anthony Gaffney caught a pass from Jordan and dunked his team into an 89-87 advantage with just three seconds to go.

Chalon still had time to pull level and they did.

Coming out of a timeout, they got the ball to Schilb and he managed to score with a lay-up to knot the contest at 89-89.

Telekom Baskets then took a timeout to draw up the last play and when play resumed, Jordan passed to Simonas Serapinas and he drilled a game-winning jumper at the death.

Chalon lost despite shooting a marvellous 16 for 24 on three pointers.
