BC Kyiv have changed coach for the third time this season, replacing Hennadiy Zaschuk with Italian Renato Pascuali.
Pascuali has been awarded a three-year deal in the Ukrainian capital following BC Kyiv's defeat by BC Budivelnyk Kyiv in the latest round of Superliga matches, which led Zaschuk to resign.
But Zaschuk hinted that the team's current problems - they are second in the table but a mammoth seven games adrift of runaway leaders Azovmash - would not be solved by his resignation alone.
He said: "I've trusted too much a lot of players who did not show good results.
"Not all players of the team are ready physically and considering their responsibility.
"The team has severe problems, and time is needed to solve them."
Zaschuk will, however, retain his post as head coach of the Ukrainian national side.
Pascuali has an excellent pedigree, having coached Benetton Treviso and the now-defunct Vrtus Bologna, as well as a spell with the Italian youth side.
