| The Spaniards started well and took the first quarter 18-14 but the host nation dominated the second which they took 22-8 for a 36-26 half-time lead in the Group F fixture.
From that moment on they were never seriously threatened and took the third and fourth quarters 18-15 and 16-13 respectively.
Marko Djurkovic poured in 18 points for the home side with two three throws and eight from 11 two-pointers.
He was well supported by Dragan Labovic who added 17 and Milenko Tepic who contributed 10.
Only one Spaniard got into double figures although with 19 points it was 18-year-old centre Jose Angel Antelo who took the individual honours.
Antelo, born in the city of Santiago de Compostela, scored seven from nine two-pointers and made five from six free throws.
The Serbo-Montenegrins top the pool with two wins from two while Spain are third.
In Group E, Turkey managed a 71-66 win over Latvia thanks to a storming performance in the fourth quarter in which Cenk Akyol once more starred for the victors.
The first period was tied 18-18 before Latvia edged the second 17-14 to take an interval lead.
The Baltic side looked odds-on for a win when they also took the third to lead 51-44.

| However, the Turks took the fourth by an emphatic 27-15 margin to snatch a famous win.
Akyol poured in 28 points to celebrate his call-up for the Turkish senior side for the EuroBasket earlier in the day.
His haul included three three-pointers and seven free throws with Akyol also well supported by Oguz Savas with 14 - he is also in the plans of the senior team.
Ernests Kalve top scored with 22 for Latvia while Arturs Freimanis (18) and Krists Piternieks also posted double-digit scores. |
