The EuroLeague Women All Star event had a big hit on Thursday with the debut of the Mixed Couples Shootout.

Greece, represented by Evi Maltsi of Ros Casares and Theo Papaloukas of CSKA Moscow, won the event with a blistering time of 58 seconds.

Each player had to hit shots from five different spots on the court, and the Greeks beat Australians Lauren Jackson and David Andersen, USA pair Tina Thompson and Marquee Perry and Russian duo Marina Karpunina and Viktor Khryapa with a fastest time of 58 seconds.

The innovation seems to have hit a note not only with the fans but also with the participants.

"This was such a good thing to do," Maltsi said. "For me, the opportunity to shoot alongside someone (Papaloukas) of such a level, it was great."
