Krunoslav Simon - EuroBasket 2013 Profile

Team 2012-13: Unicaja Malaga (Spain-ACB)
Career: KK Zagreb (Croatia-A1, 2002-12); Unicaja Malaga (Spain-ACB, 2012-13)

Despite putting up stand-out numbers for years with KK Zagreb, Simon waited some time for an opportunity on the national team scene. After that honour finally came at EuroBasket 2011, he has been one of the key contributors for Croatia. A lefty combo-guard, Simon often leaves a carefree impression while on the court. However, that exact approach to a basketball game, as well as his out-of-the-box offensive mind-set, makes him tough to guard and so calm in clutch situations. Simon is not the best defender one will come across, but his understanding and feel for the game, a wonderful shooting touch and unorthodox way of finishing his drives, makes you want to have him on your team. Coach Repesa certainly feels that way, as the two also teamed up at Unicaja Malaga last year.
