Team 2010-11: Olimpija Ljubljana (Slovenia-1A)
Career: Portoroz (Slovenia-1B, 1999-00), Triglav Kranj (Slovenia-1B, 2000-01), Geoplin Slovan (Slovenia-1A, 2001-02), Olimpija Ljubljana (Slovenia-SKL, 2002-11)
A revelation during the Euroleague season for Olimpija Ljubljana, Saso Ozbolt is coming off one of his best campaigns in his career, and heads into EuroBasket 2011 full of confidence. He has already been part of the Slovenian national side after appearing at the 2006 FIBA World Championship in Japan and so knows all about competing at this level. He is a high percentage shooter, although he also has good court vision. Ozbolt is a terrific passer, and sees his teammates moving, even when double-teamed. His three-point shooting has improved over this year also and he makes the most of his quick release which makes him hard to close down. The one thing that will potentially go against Ozbolt is that he lacks physical strength against bigger guards, although he makes up for it slightly with his speed, quick hands and veteran knowledge.
