Rebekkah Brunson scored 20 points and Jami Montagnino added 18 as Cras Basket Taranto kept TEO Vilnius winless in EuroLeague Women Group A with an 80-67 victory in Lithuania.
The visitors built a big early lead and made it stand up even as Vilnius showed plenty of fight, mostly through the outstanding Renee Montgomery who finished with 29 points having played all 40 minutes.
Taranto ended the first quarter on a 21-3 run, sparked by Michelle Greco's three-pointer, that turned a 9-9 tie into a comfortable 30-12 lead.
Vilnius only briefly threatened to get back into the game, as Montgomery's jump-shot capped an 11-2 run that made it 41-33 to Taranto with 8:48 to go in the third quarter.
Taranto quickly got their lead back into double figures and held it there until a brief worry in the final quarter when it was again back to eight, 72-64, on Milka Bjelica's jump-shot with 3:00 to go.
But Taranto finished on an 8-3 run to finally end the hosts' challenge and improve to 3-2 in Group A.
Kathy Wambe also scored in double figures for the visitors with 10 points, while Elodie Godin collected eight points and 13 rebounds.
Mantas Šernius, TEO Vilnius Coach:
"We failed to stop Taranto fast breaks. There were too many bad decisions, too many fouls. This is why we lost the first half. In the second half we played according to the plan, but the players got tired and we had to change the game scheme. This didn't work well."
Roberto Ricchini, Taranto Coach:
"We started the season not so well, but now we have three wins in a row. I am glad for today's win. We still have three games at home against Galatasaray, TTT and TEO and we have to win all these three matches if we want to get good position in the group."
