GAME REPORTBourges Basket brushed aside KSSSE AZS-PWSZ Gorzow on Wednesday night to move closer to sealing a spot in the EuroLeague Women Eighth-Final Play-offs. Pierre Vincent's team won 84-57 to improve to 4-5 in the Group. They avenged a 49-39 defeat in the first meeting between the sides back on November 18. Bourges could finish as high as second, depending on other results. Against Gorzow, the French finished the first half on a 6-0 run to lead 29-19. After the restart, they reeled off seven consecutive points, including five by Stella Kaltsidou. That gave Bourges a 37-19 lead, while Greece international Kaltsidou led all scorers with 16 points at that stage. Vincent's team pulled away for a decisive win. Kaltsidou finished with a team-high 26 points. Gorzow's Justyna Zurowska led all scorers with 27 points. The Polish team was eliminated from contention for a Last 16 place with the defeat. |
