Brazilian Iziane led the visitors with 25 points as they improved to 3-6 while dropping Umana Reyer to 7-2.
When Fatimatou Sacko scored to snap a 4-4 tie at the start of the game, she put ESB Lille Metropole into the lead for good.
They had a 19-13 advantage at the end of the first quarter and went to half-time still on top at 38-32.
The closest Umana Reyer would get the rest of the way was at 69-66 with 1:05 left in the game after Jenifer Nadalin made a jump shot.
Iziane replied with a free throw four seconds later and the French held on.
