European Youth Championships Attract Record Viewers

Israel returned home from the Eural Trans Gas European Championship for U20 Men this week to a hero’s welcome. 250,000 fans in Israel had tuned in to watch their country’s remarkable run to the Final live on Israel’s Sports Channel. The Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Final were broadcast live, and the final gained a 8.3% audience share.

Sergio Rodriguez's life has turned upside down since guiding Spain to the gold medal at the European Under-18 Championships for men in Zaragoza.

The point guard was voted most valuable player of the tournament with a performance in the final against Turkey that brought much acclaim from the basketball world.
