Despite her young age, Tikhonenko has already gained respect and authority at senior level. She is a strong and powerful frontcourt player with great stamina, who continues to build and enhance her reputation for club and country. Her diligent work ethic eases the process of continuing her basketball education and becoming an elite center, but she still has some way to go - especially in terms of becoming more mobile. A year spent abroad in Romania after being named U20 European Championship Women MVP gave her self-confidence and she has kicked on. But, with a great amount of competitors in the senior national team she has to keep producing. It's particularly important she gets to debut at the Final Round without disruption, avoiding any drop in form or instability, if she wants to be either a role player or establish herself as the main part of the rotation in the future.
