Latvia swept aside Greece 65-36 on Sunday to capture the bronze medal at the A.C.I. Trading Limited U20 European Championship Women in Brno.
Playing less than 24 hours after their heartbreaking 55-53 semi-final defeat to Poland, the Baltic country were able to take some of the sting out of that setback by finishing the tournament in third place, and it was an 11-2 Latvia run late in the first quarter that served as the launchpad for victory. |

France stormed into the final of the A.C.I. Trading Limited U20 European Championship Women in Brno on Saturday with a 69-44 demolition of Greece.
The Greeks were a determined bunch but eventually caved in against the powerful French, who got a game-high 22 points from their 19-year-old forward Julie Barennes. |

Two teams, France and Latvia went unbeaten through the Quarter-Final Round and they will match up against Poland and Greece in a bid to make the Final game. Only one team, France, remains unbeaten throughout the tournament. |

In the first day of the Quarter Final Round at the ACI Trading Ltd U20 European Championship Women, the top eight teams made their first pitch in the battle for a Semi-Final spot. As all first four games were dead tight, every side will need to fight for every point over the next two days to make it to the next round. |
