Ros Deliver First-Quarter Knockout Against TTT Riga

Ros Casares thrashed TTT Riga 118-38 in Spain on opening night in the EuroLeague Women.

One of the powerhouses in the competition in recent years, Ros looked as good as ever when grabbing a 30-11 stranglehold on the Group A contest by the end of the first quarter.

They piled on the agony for the Latvians over the next 10 minutes, outscoring them 20-7 for an unassailable 50-18 lead.

Isma Canto's team cruised over the last 20 minutes.

Delisha Milton-Jones scored 25 points and pulled down nine rebounds for Ros, who had six players finish in double figures in points.

One of them was Brazil center Erika, who had 24 points and 10 rebounds in just 21 minutes.

The Spanish team dominated with its defense, coming up with 14 steals and blocking 10 shots.

Riga ended up with 23 turnovers.
