Rhondda Roll To Victory

Rhondda Rebels advanced to the next stage of the EuroCup Women with a 69-57 home win over Boaviagem Angra Acores in Wales.

Player-coach Andrea Congreaves led the way with 18 points and 12 rebounds in 36 minutes on the floor.

The British side was already in control of the tie after winning the first leg 78-65 in Portugal.

On Wednesday, they stormed out to a 21-12 first-quarter lead and never looked back.

Kirby Copeland had a fine game for the winners, pouring in 18 points and handing out seven assists, and Martina Gandzalova weighed in with 16 and five boards.
