GAME REPORT

USK Blex Prague 71 vs. MBK Ruzomberok 59

USK Blex continued their great run this evening, finishing the qualification group with a 6-0 record. The Prague club captured their last victory 71-59 against Ruzomberok.

There was bad news delivered to the USK management right before the game, however, as the best scorer of the team, Ivana Vorackova, couldn’t participate due to a twisted ankle.  Home team coach Lubor Blazek had to make last-minute adjustments to the line-up to try to compensate.

The game started on an even keel until the fifth minute. At this point USK went on a 9:0 run and stretched to a solid ten point lead. The home side played better from here on, with good defense and fast breaks making the main difference for the Prague side.

At the half the score was 45:25 and it seemed that Czech team was on their way to cruising to another easy victory. However, Ruzomberok changed their defense to a zone in the third quarter, and began to decrease the gap point by point.

After 36 minutes the Slovakian team was within 7 points, however game MVP Michaela Pavlickova picked up her game and sterted to amke a difference.

She made an important field goal on the next offense which encouraged her teammates in the last minutes. USK then took control again over the game and cruised to a twelve point victory 71:59.

Game MVP: Michaela Pavlickova (12 points, 9 rebs)
