Lithuania struggled but Gediminas Bertasius put on a three-point show in holding off Estonia 72-64 to remain undefeated at the U18 European Championship Men, in Pyrgos, Greece.
Bertasius nailed seven shots from beyond the arc in scoring 31 points and Tautvydas Slezas added 10 points and 10 rebounds as Lithuania captured top honours in Group B with a 3-0 record.
Estonia dropped to 0-3 and will play to avoid relegation to Division B, despite 16 points from Kristjan Kitsing and 11 each from Sass Karemoe and Rain Veideman.
Bertasius started his long range attack straight away with a triple to begin the scoring. He hit another trey but was matched by two long bombs from Madis Saarmets as Estonia stayed in the game and led 17-16.
Bertasius drained another triple and scored four more points in giving Lithuania a 25-21 lead after one period. He hit two more three-balls as Vitoldas Masalskis's side pulled away in the second quarter, opening a 37-23 lead on Bertasius's tip-in. The Lithuanians were ahead 46-33 at the break.
Masalski's team struggled with their offensive execution in the third period, commiting four turnovers and never putting away Estonia.
Kristjan Rinaldo drained a three-ball from the corner and then hit two foul shots to trim the deficit to 54-49 after three periods. Aivars Kuusmaa's team refused to go away with Kitsing's foul shot making it a 64-59 game with four minutes left.
But Giedrius Staniulis dunked home an offensive rebound and Bertasius's final triple gave Lithuania a 70-59 cushion with 2:17 to play, deciding the game.
