Italy Seal EuroBasket Women Spot
Italy have sealed top spot in Group B and a place in EuroBasket Women 2009 in Latvia by beating Belgium 75-64 in Siracusa.

Italy's backcourt reigned supreme as guards Simona Ballardini and Raffaella Masciadri scored 18 points each in the win.

Leemans, Dubuc Spark Belgium In Win Over Croatia

Belgium kept alive their slim hopes of finishing top of EuroBasket Women Additional Qualifying Round Group B with an 86-75 home victory over Croatia.

The Belgians won for the first time to leave both sides with 1-2 records, while Italy are top of the pool at 2-0.

Ballardini, Italy Knock Off Belgians

Italy won at Belgium 81-69 on Wednesdsay night in the Azzurre's opening game of the EuroBasket Women Additional Qualifying Round.

Umana Reyer Venezia's Simona Ballardini poured in 17 points, which included a two of five effort from three-ball range, pulled down nine rebounds and handed out seven assists for the Italians.
