Career: Buki Gulbene (Latvia-LBL, 1999-2002), Barons Riga (Latvia-LBL, 2002-03), BK Ventspils (Latvia-LBL, 2003-05).
Timermanis may have gone unnoticed to most of the scouts as he never shined in youth competitions, but he will surely be a player to watch for Latvia in the near future. He was for example the leading scorer in one of the national team friendly games against Israel preparing for EuroBasket... This is just a confirmation of the nice impression this young forward left during last September’s qualifying round, showing good activity on the boards and a nice touch from the three-point line... Timermanis made a name for himself in Latvia with good seasons for Buki Gulbene and Barons and caught the attention of powerhouse BK Ventspils. In two years there, he won two league titles and steadily improved his playing time. |
