Artemis Spanou - EuroBasket Women 2015 Profile

Heading into this summer having now completed her first campaign with Istanbul Universitesi where she played in EuroCup Women as well as the TKBL, the forward is ready to transform her pheneomenal youth career to making a big impact at senior level. Heralded as one of the best players of her generation and having continually posted eye-popping numbers in an array of statistical categories throughout her magnificent youth career with Greece where she won many individual honours, Spanou can become a leader at the highest level for her country. She already has brief Final Round experience from when she played as a teenager in 2011 and during the qualification process for 2015, she was a powerhouse for the team. She showed her strength on the glass by leading the way in rebounding, while also amassing 13.7 points per game which was more than any of her team-mates. She also enjoyed a productive college career at Robert Morris and is continuing to enhance her burgeoning reputation after her first year in the pro-game.
