Zipser, whose name has been on the radar in Germany for some years now, left injury problems that cost him big parts of the 2013-14 season behind and established himself in the rotation of league runners-up Bayern Munich. The combination of decent size and a well-rounded skill-set for a winger has been seldom seen in Germany and thus he addresses one of the needs that Coach Fleming has. Zipser brings good shooting percentages and solid rebounding to the table. His performances have not gone unnoticed internationally as well, although he went undrafted in the 2015 NBA draft. Just like at Bayern, he will have to battle for minutes with Robin Benzing. At the age of 21, time is on his side, but expect him to make his mark as early as this year.
