Career: Partizan Belgrade (Serbia-Montenegro-YUBA, 2002-...)
He is a leader of Serbia & Montenegro’s new generation which is about to replace stars such as Bodiroga, Gurovic, Tomasevic... A typical example of the young players consistently produced by Dusko Vujosevic, a coach well known for launching young talents into the big game. Tripkovic was one of the top players of this summer’s U20 European championship in Russia, where Serbia-Montenegro won the bronze medal. He can play positions 1 and 2, but his main characteristic is three-point shooting. He respects nobody which is a virtue of great players. He was born in Cacak, a town on Morava river, which happens to be the birthplace of Zeljko Obradovic and Dragan Kicanovic, a living legend of European basketball. The fact that he is the only shooting guard besides Scepanovic gives him a good chance to make his national team debut. |
