Omar Cook has been the number one playmaker for his adopted country and been very much at the heart of everything good about Montenegro since they embarked on a journey to their historic first EuroBasket tournament. The leader in assists and steals for the team has set the tone in the backcourt and you would expect nothing else from a guard who has played at the highest level on both sides of the Atlantic. A good ball handler who can also shoot from downtown and use his acceleration to get to the hoop, Cook is a real danger for opposing defences primarily because of his ability to create for others. He had more assists last summer than not only anybody on the roster but also more than any other player in the Qualifying Round. A smooth operator, the guard is likely to be one of the driving forces of the Montenegro challenge once again as he offers an extra dimension and is the man with the key to open all doors.
