Ros Casares Valencia made a big statement as they took control of Euroleague Women Group A with an 83-55 rout of VICI Aistes.
Ann Wauters scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds while Eshaya Murphy poured in 22 points in a lop-sided win.
The visitors were able to keep it close in a low-scoring first quarter that finished 14-11, but were blown out of the water soon after.
An 18-0 Ros Casares run, capped by Isabelle Yacoubou's three-pointer, spanned the half-time interval and formed part of a third period in which the hosts poured in 30 points and outscored the visitors 30 to 15.
By the time Silvia Dominguez hit a three-pointer to end it, Ros Casares were up 67-40, and the game was over as a contest.
Yacoubou finished with 19 points and eight rebounds for Ros Casares.
Vaida Sipaviciute had 14 points to lead Aistes, while Sandra Linkeviciene and Vita Kuktiene added 12 each.
Vici Aistes Head Coach Mantas Sernius:
"First I want to congratulate Natalia Hejková because her team played a good game today. We couldn't make easy shots and we stopped on offense."
Ros Casares Head Coach Natalia Hejková:
"Every win is important. I wasn't absolutely satisfied in the first half because we missed very easy shots. But in the second half sometimes we showed very nice basketball."
Vici Aistes player Courtnay Pilypaitis:
"We played against a very good team and we didn't play in the way that we want to do it. We didn't have the result that we want and we need to work harder like a team".
Ros Casares player Laia Palau:
"We scored 83 points and we received only 55 points, and this is very difficult in a EuroLeague Women game. We have good sensations and in our group we can't lose any game".
