Spain’s championship game against Lithuania attracted a record television audience of 4,500,000 viewers in Spain. It was the highest viewed non-footballing programme view all summer, beating the just under 4million viewers who tuned in to watch Lance Armstrong's victory in the 15th stage of the Tour de France.
