|Record attendance of 8,500 in the Abdi Ipekci Arena|
A new EuroLeague Women Finals attendance record was set during the white-hot atmosphere of the Istanbul derby game between arch rivals Galatasaray Medical Park and Fenerbahce.
A total of 8,574 supporters poured into Abdi Ipekci to witness the Final Eight day two clash between the respective Turkish heavyweights.
Fenerbahce won the game 75-67 after a hard fought encounter that was only decided in the final minutes.
It's the second time an attendance record for women's basketball has been set in Turkey this year.
More than 7,000 Kayseri Kaskispor fans packed out their Arena recently when they hosted eventual champions Dynamo Kursk in the EuroCup Women Final first-leg.
