GAME REPORT

Paris Rally To Take Big Win

9. Antoine Diot (Paris Levallois)
Antoine Diot nailed four-of-six three-pointers on his way to 14 points

Paris Levallois ran out comfortable 101-84 winners over Group J's winless team Hapoel Holon, but only after they had undone the damage of a stunning first quarter.

Paris stayed top of their EuroChallenge Last 16 group as seven players scored in double figures, but first they had to dig themselves out of an early hole.

Hapoel, desperate to get off the mark in the group, started the game in electric form and raced into a 21-4 lead on Franklin Hassell's dunk with 4:26 left in the first quarter.

Hassell's lay-up to open the second quarter made it 31-15 and they still looked to be in command when Hassell completed a three-point play to put them 40-23 ahead with 4:57 left in the half.

But something awoke in Paris as they reeled off 11 unanswered points to make it 40-36 on Andrew Albicy's lay-up.

Despite John Cox's buzzer-beating three-pointer, Hapoel still led 45-41 at the break, and they scored the first four points of the third period to extend that lead.

But Antoine Diot's three-pointer sparked a 9-0 run that tied it at 51 and they began to ease clear, with Giovan Oniangue's three making it 61-54.

Jawad Williams hit a three to end the third period and give Paris a 68-58 lead, and they continued to pull away the rest of the game.

Williams led Paris with 16 points while Diot had 14 and Louis Labeyrie and Sean May 13 each.

Cox added 12 points, while Albicy and Jonathan Aka each finished with 10.

Hassell had 31 points for Hapoel with Jerome Dyson collecting 18, Lawrence Hill 16, and Dominic Waters 12.
