| NEWSThe Rest of the World came to Europe and conquered at the FEL All-Star Day as the competition’s best foreign players teamed up to defeat their European counterparts, 84:91 in Kiev at the sold-out Sports Palace.
No expense was spared in the show which was enjoyed by luminaries such as Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma and former Olympic Champion Sergey Bubka. |

Those in attendance got to see the Rest of the World defeat Europe 84:91 in a thrilling contest that went right down to the last minute. The game itself was the highlight in what the organisers promised would be a “10 million dollar show”. From the opening night’s “Rasminka” (or warm-up) party to the post game celebration, that is exactly what they provided. |

Following a meeting of the FIBA Europe League Council in Kiev, Ukraine and before the All Star Day, President of FIBA Europe Mr. George Vassilakopoulos and Executive Director Nar Zanolin held a press conference.
Mr. Zanolin took the opportunity to inform the media of the results of the FIBA Europe League Council that had met in Kiev. Mr. Zanolin emphasised the total commitment between FIBA Europe and the participating clubs and the excellent atmosphere and willingness to work together for the good of the competition. |

Basketball fans in Kiev will be spoilt for choice on Tuesday 16th March when the FEL All-Stars roll into town.
The main event will be the game itself which pits Europe against the Rest of the World, but there will be plenty of other action at the Sports Palace to keep the fans entertained. |
