In 1998 the Eurostars moved to Israel where the game was hosted by Maccabi Tel Aviv. The format of the game remained exactly the same as the previous year and this time the Spanish ACB agreed to release its players, allowing stars such as Dejan Bodiroga (Real Madrid), Alesandar Djordevic (Barcelona) and Alberto Herreros (Real Madrid) to participate.

The EuroStars also welcomed back Predgrag Danilovic and Dino Radja, both of whom had returned to Europe after NBA stints with the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat respectively.
