Both teams reached Sunday's final in Pescara by playing tough-as-nails defense in their semi-final victories over Serbia and Spain, respectively. |

Niedola gathered 21 points, 22 rebounds and five steals - the 17-year-old Latvian star talent's sixth game with at least 17 points and 14 rebounds. |

Hosts Italy knocked off Montenegro 73-51 to advance to the Ninth Placed Game of the U20 European Championship for Women where they take on the Czech Republic - 78-69 winners over Belarus. Chiara Consolini and Martina Crippa both scored 15 points for Italy, who led 22-10 after one period and never looked back in front of the home fans. |
