Serbia, Germany remain in Division A

Serbia and Germany both secured their spots in Division A for next summer's Termosteps U16 European Championship Women by notching their second victories in the Classification Round.

Both teams improved to 2-0 in the relegation round and cannot be overtaken by either Latvia or Ukraine - both of whom are 0-2 and face off in the final game day before being dropped to Division B for 2009.

Spain, Turkey book final Qualifying spots

Spain and Turkey both notched comfortable victories at the Termosteps U16 European Championship Women to secure the final two spots in the tournament's Qualifying Round.

Mariona Ortiz scored 13 points to pace Spain in a 57-50 win over Russia to remain undefeated in Group D while Pelin Gülbag and Emel Güler combined for 33 points in Turkey's 70-49 decision against Latvia in Group A.

Spain, France coast to opening wins

Spain put on a show to tip off their Termosteps U16 European Championship Women with a 71-30 thrashing of Germany.

France cruised to an opening victory in Group A of the Termosteps U16 European Championship Women, beating Latvia convincingly 74-54.
