Fenerbahçe SK 45 vs. Phard Napoli 53

Phard Napoli became the first winner of a FIBA Europe club competition in 2005 on Sunday night in Italy. Napoli defeated Fenerbahce 45-53 to win the FIBA Europe Cup Women in a game characterised by its defensive intensity.

While nerves also contributed to a poor shooting display from both sides, it was Napoli's ability to disrupt Fenerbahce's offense in the final quarter that saw them take a deserved victory.

Phard Napoli 72 vs. Anda Ramat Hasharon 59

A fired-up Phard Napoli ended Anda Ramat Hasharon's FIBA Europe Cup hopes on Saturday night. Playing in front of 2,500 home fans, Napoli produced an emotionally charged performance and swept to victory behind a strong second half showing.

While it was the visitors who had the better start to the game, Napoli always seemed to want the win a little bit more than their opponents.

Petra Beats Dad

Petra Ujhelyi won a clear first-match advantage over her father Gabor on Wednesday when Anda Ramat-Hasharon thrashed Szeviep Szeged of Hungary 86-62 in the FIBA Europe Cup Women Pan-European play-offs.

And Petra does not believe the Hungarian champions, even with her father once again coaching, can turn the tables in the return match in Szeged on March 3.
