Lauren Thomas-Johnson is an exciting guard who had an impressive youth international career for England and Great Britain at various levels and is now poised and ready to embark on a career with the senior National Team. She was particularly impressive at the U20 European Championship Women in 2007 when she posted some terrific numbers, averaging over 17 points and 5 rebounds per game. Prior to that, she had been a stand-out at U18 and U16 level for England. She led Kirkwood in back to back NJCAA Tournament championships in 2007 and 2008 and was MVP in 2008 before moving to Marquette. She began her professional career with a brief stint in Iceland, and finished the year with some fabulous experience in Spain's Liga Femenina to showcase her potential. She is an all-action guard who does a little bit of everything on the floor and is particularly strong defensively.
