Career: Estudiantes (Spain-ACB, 1993-99), Olympiakos (Greece-ESAK, 1999-2003), Etosa Alicante (Spain-ACB, 2003-...).
He is the oldest player in the national team and returns to the roster after a five-year absence. De Miguel, one of the heroes of Spain’s EuroBasket 1999 silver medal team due to his unforgettable defense against Arvydas Sabonis and great performances in the do-or-die games, is eager to help the extremely young Spanish team with his experience and leadership. After playing four seasons with Greek team Olympiakos, he returned in 2003 to Spain and Alicante and has played a high-level season to earn a call back to the national team. Although he can shoot from outside and dribble to the basket, he is mostly a banger and hard worker on defense, a good rebounder and a very intelligent player that will take advantage of any situation to score or help his team.
