When the curtain seemingly fell on the national team career of the veteran it left a serious void to fill for Poland, one which realistically, was never going to be plugged. The only person who could replace a legendary figure and a fan favourite such as Kobryn was the player herself. That was exactly what happened as the champagne corks popped across her homeland when she announced a u-turn on her retirement plans and decided to come back for a swansong with the national team. Having played for top clubs on both sides of the Atlantic throughout her career, she is recognised as one of the premier centers in the women's game and is a towering presence for Poland in the paint. A EuroLeague Women and Polish All-Star several times over, she brings experience of several previous Final Round appearances and also playing in the Final Eight and Final Four in EuroLeague Women. She will be the on-court leader for Poland and be expected to top the charts for her country in rebounding and maybe even scoring too. She commands respect inside her own locker room and also in the opposition's camp as well. A giant of Polish and also European women's basketball, and a recognised figure in the WNBA too, she will be one of the biggest names to step out at EuroBasket Women 2015.
