Career: AZS Gorzow (Poland-PLKK, 2002-11)
It seems like such a long time ago now that Justyna Zurowska was handed less than 10 minutes per game at EuroBasket Women 2009 by former Poland Head Coach Krzysztof Koziorowicz. Since then, she has continued her progress and matured into one of the best players in the Polish league, becoming a EuroLeague Women All Star earlier this year. She has averaged double-digits for the past two years in the competition with Gorzow, the club she has been with from her formative years, making her a player Coach Maciejewski knows as well as or better than any other on the roster. What Zurowska brings is an energy not always associated with frontcourt players. She has good hands and reads the game well, enabling her to make some nice interior passes and also come up with some steals. Potentially, she could enjoy a much more fruitful tournament than her previous one. |
